I wish I could say that about my generation.
We're good! Yet....
I often mess up, and ruin things for us.
But! My new years resolution was to improve on my skills.
I'm improving, trust me!!!
Do you trust me?

Mochizuki Nina (CloverSmash! leader, ex-C/olorage) UTB+ Interview (January Issue)

What was graduating from C/olorage like?
It was a huge step for me. When I heard that Saito Kotomi (former S/mileage 1st generation member) was graduating, my initial reaction was "Oh crap, I'm next". Then I was called in to a meeting a few hours after. They gave me a ton of options like being a soloist or an actress, and I declined to all of them. Then Tsunku DM-ed me the day I announced my own graduation, and he was like "Start a new unit!". I thought about it for a moment, but then I finally gave in.

What is it like leading a group?
Well, all three of us CloverSmash! girls are very hyper, so it's actually fun. The two other members are actually very professional, so they're not really a pain in the back. I love watching them improve.

What are your thoughts about Otsuka Karen (fellow CloverSmash! member)?
Otsuka's really awesome! The day I was given the opportunity to pick members, I chose Otsuka right away because she was very lively and is dedicated to the things that she commits herself to. She's very cute too, I envy her.

And Tsgui Elliot (fellow CloverSmash! member)?
Elliot was suggested to me from the Hello! Pro Kenshuusei choreographer. She told me that Elliot had failed the Hello! Pro Kenshuusei audition, but had lots of potential. I watched her audition videos, and I was very impressed with her, so I chose her. Elliot gives off the image of a calm, cute girl in her pictures, but in all reality, she's crazy!

What kind of image do you want CloverSmash! to have?
Well, I don't want us to be known for having a former C/olorage member in the group, that's one. We're much more than that. I want us to be known for our fantastic live shows, which we get mostly positive feedback from. I want us to have a unique image, but that's really hard to find in the Japanese idol world, isn't it?

What do you want the other two members to improve on?
I want Elliot to work on her dancing during lives. She puts out so much energy during practices, but in lives, she's like a zombie! Since it's the three of us, it's very noticeable. With Otsuka, I want her to work on memorization. There's been times during lives where she forgets her lines, and it's a bit frustrating. But I love the both of them regardless of their mistakes.

Your next single is titled "Yogore Hane no Keru / Time WARP!". What are each of them like?
Yogore Hane no Keru! sounds kind of like an old school R&B song. It has some pretty funny lines in it, and I think it's going to be one of those songs that pump out crowds in live shows. Time WARP! is more of a rock song, not a death-metal one nor an idol-y one, but the kind that you'd hear from popular Western artists.

Are there any idol groups that you admire?
Quite a few, yes. But my number one would be the group BiS. Even though they have already disbanded, they gave off the image of "idols in rebellion". They did things that some companies wouldn't dare let their idols do. I want CloverSmash! to have that kind of reputation. But I want it to be a good thing, not a thing people would down on us for like they did BiS.

What's the hardest dance routine you've had to do so far?
Actually, it's TIME WARP! There's actually acrobatics involved in the dance break, which scares me because I don't want anyone getting hurt, even though we all have gymnastics experiences in the past.

What's your favorite idol song of the year 2014?
I actually have three. "Towa no Uta" by Berryz Kobo is my first. Despite being a very fun song, it carries a lot of emotions with it that is mainly dedicated to their fans and themselves.

Second, "FiNAL DANCE" by BiS. The song is very catachy, and the MV just reminisces on most of their past MVs and some of their concerts, which must've been very emotional for the group and their fans.

Third, "Naitemo Iindayo" by Momoiro Clover Z. I don't know, I just love that song.

What would your message be to all JPop Idol fans?
I don't know, other than "Please support CloverSmash!". I'd guess I would like to thank those who have already been supporting us, and hopefully, will continue to support us throughout our career.
